Job summary

Helmerich and Payne (H&P) seeks an Investor Relations professional to own core IR deliverables, reporting to the VP of FP&A and IR with direct exposure to CFO and executives. You will manage earnings materials, investor relations calendars, and relationships with analysts and shareholders.

This role offers ownership from day one, visibility with senior management, and a path to grow within IR and finance. Strong candidates come from IR, banking, or equity research, especially in energy sectors.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in investor relations or closely related capital markets role.
• Direct exposure to earnings cycles, financial modeling, or capital markets communications; energy sector preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to operate independently.
• Bachelor's degree required; CFA or MBA a plus.
• High degree of ownership and comfort operating with autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Earnings materials: draft and coordinate earnings releases, scripts, decks, with FP&A, Legal and exec leadership.
• Investor calendar: build/manage quarterly earnings logistics, roadshows, conferences; accompany management.
• Street engagement: act as main contact for sell-side analysts and institutional investors.
• Market intelligence: monitor estimates, peer/sector developments, prepare briefing materials.
• Content ownership: maintain IR website, shareholder letters, fact sheets.
• Targeting and surveillance: support shareholder targeting and board reporting on sentiment.
• Special projects: participate in cross-functional strategy, FP&A and treasury initiatives.
• People leadership: supervise IR & Sustainability staff; manage workload and resources.
