Job summary

Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Architect to own end-to-end solution architecture across front-, middle-, and back-office investment technologies. You will set reference architectures, drive prototyping, and mentor engineers while collaborating with enterprise architecture, security, and investment leadership.

This role requires deep buy-side domain experience and strong cloud data expertise.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years architecting and delivering platforms for buy-side investments.
• Experience across application, data, and cloud infrastructure and integration tiers.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, and API-first design.
• Familiarity with SOX and SOC 1/2 controls.
• Ability to communicate with technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across the investment technology estate: apps, services, data, APIs, integration, and data platform.
• Define and enforce reference architecture across tiers and data flows; ensure testability and CI/CD.
• Mentor engineers; participate in PI planning; manage technical debt and target state delivery.
• Design around vendor estates (Aladdin, Bloomberg, SimCorp, etc.) and enable build-vs-buy-vs-configure decisions.
• Build on a modern AWS stack with Snowflake data platform and event-driven orchestration.
• Ensure architecture supports SOX/SOC 1/2 evidence, data lineage, logging, and audit controls.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, and investment leadership.
