Job summary

The Senior Associate, Finance & Investments will serve as the financial and execution backbone of UFP Ventures. The role supports the full investment lifecycle, including opportunity evaluation, financial modeling, due diligence, Investment Committee preparation, transaction execution, portfolio reporting, valuation, and performance analysis.

Location: Grand Rapids, Detroit, Philadelphia, or St. Louis preferred.

Qualifications

• BA in Business, Finance or related field.
• English language fluency is mandatory; other languages desirable.
• At least 3 years in ventures, entrepreneurship, M&A, finance, or strategy.
• Experience building complex financial models and evaluating investments.
• Construction-related technical/commercial/sales experience is a plus.
• Ability to communicate performance to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial due diligence to support the investment process.
• Build financial models to assess valuation and forecast returns.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows and processes for research and diligence.
• Collaborate with portfolio companies on financial ops and performance.
• Identify emerging distress and perform ad hoc analyses.
• Coordinate with finance department to close deals and report regularly.
• Support M&A diligence as needed.
