Job summary

SC Launch, Inc. in South Carolina seeks a Senior Investment Diligence Manager to lead evaluation, diligence, structuring, and advancement of prospective investments.

The role partners with the Executive Director, Regional Directors, investment candidates, portfolio companies, and investors to support disciplined investment decisions aligned with SCL Inc.’s mission and objectives. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, technology, science, or related field; 7+ years in venture capital, private equity, or related areas.
• Experience with institutional investment firms, corporate venture groups, or similar investment organizations; strong VC/PE knowledge.
• Experience evaluating seed- and early-stage tech companies and leading investment activities end-to-end.
• Experience preparing and presenting investment memoranda, and coordinating with legal and financial advisors.

Responsibilities

• Leads evaluation and due diligence of investment candidates, assessing teams, markets, technology, business models, and risks.
• Develops investment recommendations and transaction structures; presents findings to executive leadership and the board.
• Partners with directors and counsel to identify and prioritize candidates; codifies investment policies and documentation.
• Leads investor relations and capital connectivity; supports co-investment and syndication opportunities.
• Represents SC Launch, Inc. with investors, founders, boards, and stakeholders; supports fundraising and external activities.
