Job summary

MassMutual is seeking an experienced Head of Investment Controls to lead the development, design, and implementation of an internal control oversight program within Investment Management. You will evaluate control design and effectiveness for the General Investment Account, perform risk assessments, and lead the future-state control environment for the investment ecosystem transformation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
10+ years of experience in building and implementing risk frameworks and controls (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).
Experience in internal or external audit or enterprise risk management in financial services.
Ability to partner with senior leaders and communicate with executive leadership.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

Lead design and oversight of the risk-based control framework for Investment Management processes.
Perform risk assessments and evaluate control design and effectiveness across front, middle, and back-office activities.
Collaborate with IM senior leadership, Controllers, External Auditors, and ERM to remediate control gaps.
Drive continuous monitoring/test of controls and document evidence for audit.
Develop enhanced reporting to track control gaps and remediation progress.
Lead the design of the future-state control environment for an ecosystem transformation.
