Hightower Advisors in Chicago seeks a Senior Investment Consultant to partner with advisors, delivering high-quality investment guidance and model capabilities to clients.

You will work with advisory practices, research, proposal and execution teams to ensure consistent investment messaging and compliant guidance across the client cycle.

The role emphasizes communicating complex concepts simply, maintaining advisor relations, and supporting platform adoption and asset growth.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in wealth management, investments, or portfolio advisory.
• 2+ years of advisory experience with client-facing responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation.
• Ability to translate complex investment concepts into advisor-ready guidance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Series 65/66 preferred or must obtain shortly after hire.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFA/CFP preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary investment partner to advisors, providing guidance on portfolio construction and manager selection.
• Conduct portfolio diagnostics and insights to align portfolios with firm views and models.
• Support advisor and client discussions with investment rationale and market context.
• Help advisors prepare for client reviews with clear investment messaging.
• Develop advisor-ready investment materials and portfolio analytics.
• Coordinate with trading, execution, and operations to ensure compliant execution.
• Maintain ownership from recommendation to execution for a seamless advisor experience.
