Job description

The DM team within WAM is seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in:

  1. Joining a new platform that will invest in select Developed Markets,
  2. Contributing towards developing the culture, best practices, and track record of DM efforts from the ground up,
  3. Making a measurable impact on women’s empowerment and equity across various Developed Markets through investments and engagement with investee companies and their ecosystems, while delivering market returns to investors.

As a Sr. Associate, you will collaborate with both the DM and WAM teams across key investment process areas including deal evaluation, due diligence, portfolio management, and impact monitoring.

This is a long-term career role offering the opportunity to be involved in several critical aspects of the investment process.

About WWB Asset Management (WAM)

Headquartered in New York City, WAM is a mission-driven impact investor seeking market returns, investing in fast-growing businesses that can impact women’s economic empowerment & equity.

WAM manages two Emerging Market private investment funds. Its DM team is a new initiative focusing on Growth Equity investments in Developed Markets.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Deal evaluation, diligence, and investment underwriting support
    • Screen incoming deals and present recommendations
    • Lead financial modeling and business analysis
    • Support due diligence processes
    • Assist senior team members throughout the underwriting process
  • Portfolio and impact management & monitoring support
    • Participate in portfolio management discussions and investor meetings
    • Coordinate impact measurement and reporting with WAM
  • Investment Committee support
    • Prepare materials for IC discussions
    • Present sections of IC memos confidently over time
Qualifications
  • MBA with 5-7 years of experience in private equity (VC, Growth, Control), M&A advisory, investment banking, strategy consulting, or related fields
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and recommendation writing skills
  • High responsibility, accountability, and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a long-term perspective and a principal’s approach
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
  • Capacity to quickly analyze large information sets and make strategic decisions with imperfect data

  • Begin supporting deal evaluation and diligence activities
