Job Description

This is a remote position.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Investment Associate will be a core member of the investment team, providing high-level analysis and support across all stages of the deal process. This includes deal sourcing and origination, due diligence, financial modeling, transaction execution and closure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of transactions, gaining exposure to diverse investment types and complex structures.

Objectives of Role

1. Conduct advanced financial analysis for prospective investment companies, leveraging financial modeling skills to assess financial viability and project future performance.
   
2. Participate in the due diligence process for larger transactions, performing in-depth analysis of financial statements, financial model, market position, and potential risks and opportunities.
   
3. Assist in the preparation of investment proposals and presentations for the Investment Committee, clearly communicating key deal metrics and investment thesis.
   
4. Support the negotiation and structuring of investment terms, with a focus on aligning deal structures with Travel Capitalist Venture Investments' objectives.
   
5. Assist in the management of portfolio companies following investment, monitoring portfolio performance and providing ongoing support.
   
6. Conduct industry research and market analysis to identify promising investment opportunities across key entrepreneurial ecosystems (MENA, India, S Africa, Turkey..).
   
7. Develop and mentor junior investment team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
   
8. Assist with the preparation of various investment documents and reports.
   

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
   
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking or a related field.
   
3. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (proficiency in Excel and other relevant software).
   
4. Excellent understanding of financial markets and instruments.
   
5. Working knowledge of key commercial statutes and regulations.
   
6. Strong communication, team player and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and colleagues.
   
7. Passion for contributing to making a positive difference with entrepreneurs in emerging markets worldwide. Interest and understanding of Travel Capitalist Ventures' vision, mission and values.
   
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
   
9. Results-oriented with a strong work ethic and a drive to achieve excellence.
