Job summary

Great Gray Group seeks a Senior Investment Analyst to join the Investment team in a hybrid Boston role. The candidate will support portfolio management, manager research, content development, and client support, with emphasis on advanced Excel skills and private markets knowledge.

The role reports to the Deputy Chief Investment Officer and involves cross-functional collaboration, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in investment management, consulting, or financial services.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex modeling and multi-asset allocation logic.
• Experience with private markets such as private equity, private credit, real assets, or hedge funds.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear investment content.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and maintenance of complex, multi-tab Excel models supporting portfolio construction, quarterly rebalancing, de-risking processes, and target allocation analysis.
• Conduct ongoing manager research and due diligence across public and private market strategies, including participation in calls, meetings, and webinars.
• Oversee investment commentary, asset class research, and client-facing content for sales and relationship management teams.
• Support responses to investment-related inquiries from advisors, consultants, and institutional partners, including participation in calls.
• Assist with discretionary portfolio oversight, rebalancing execution, and coordination with investment operations for timely trade implementation.
• Maintain data integrity across investment reporting systems and support quarterly and ad-hoc reporting needs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, legal, and technology teams on investment-related projects.
