Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join a growing finance team focused on evaluating and financing large-scale energy infrastructure investments. You will build and maintain sophisticated project finance models, support budgeting and strategic capital decisions, and analyze acquisitions and market dynamics.

The ideal candidate brings 1–5+ years of finance experience, a strong background in project finance or related fields, and excellent Excel/PowerPoint skills.

  • 1-5+ years of relevant finance experience.
  • Experience building sophisticated financial models from scratch.
  • Strong background in project finance, investment banking, infrastructure private equity, or power/utilities finance.
  • Experience building sophisticated financial models from scratch.
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities.
  • Genuine interest in power, utilities, energy infrastructure, and transmission development.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex project finance models to evaluate project economics, valuations, returns, revenue structures, and sensitivities.
  • Develop and update corporate financial models and projections.
  • Support project-level budgeting and consolidated financial planning.
  • Analyze potential acquisitions, including market analysis, valuation, due diligence, and transaction structuring.
  • Provide financial support for commercial contract negotiations.
  • Prepare investment presentations and financial memoranda for new investment opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Partner with teams across project development, commercial analytics, engineering, accounting, legal, land, environmental, and interconnection
  • Contribute to strategic capital planning and financing decisions

Job description

Our client is a rapidly growing, energy infrastructure investment company. Their work is focused on improving grid reliability, resiliency, and affordability while helping solve some of the country's biggest infrastructure challenges.

This is a newly created opportunity for a Senior Investment Analyst to join a growing finance team and play a key role in evaluating, modeling, and financing large-scale infrastructure investements and projects.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain complex project finance models to evaluate project economics, valuations, returns, revenue structures, and sensitivities
