Job summary

Inventure, a fast-growing renewable energy platform, seeks a Manager, Investments to lead investment decisions across a 15+ GW portfolio of solar and storage projects from diligence through FID and into construction.

You will build complex financial models, coordinate due diligence with legal, tax, engineering, and market teams, and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment in Austin.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in renewable energy project finance or investment banking.
• Advanced Excel/financial modeling; tax equity familiarity.
• Strong understanding of solar/storage economics and interconnection.

Manager, Investments – Utility-Scale Solar & Battery Storage

Our client, a fast-growing utility-scale clean energy platform (backed by a top-tier global infrastructure manager), is seeking a Manager, Investments to join their project finance/M&A team of 10.

You’ll drive investment decisions across a 15+ GW portfolio of solar and BESS projects, from early-stage diligence through Final Investment Decision and into construction/operations.

What you do:

• Build and manage complex financial models for project, partnership, and sponsor-level economics
• Lead investment memos and FID packages for internal and sponsor-level approval
• Coordinate due diligence across legal, tax, insurance, engineering, and market work streams
• Evaluate regulatory risk (ITC/PTC, FEOC/PFE, domestic content, Safe Harbor) and interconnection dynamics across ISOs/RTOs (MISO, ERCOT, PJM)
• Support capital raising, marketing materials (teasers/CIMs), and cross-functional deal execution
• Mentor junior team members

What you bring:

• 5+ years in renewable energy project finance, corporate finance, or investment banking
• Advanced Excel/financial modeling skills; familiarity with tax equity structures (partnership flips, credit transfers, hybrid structures)
• Strong grasp of solar/storage economics, interconnection processes, and power market fundamentals
• Experience managing due diligence, external consultants, and data rooms
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
