Munich Re Group in New York, NY seeks a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to manage accounting, reporting, reconciliation and planning activities for the investment portfolio under IFRS and STAT, with collaboration across internal and external service providers. The role supports quarterly tax provisions and annual tax returns, leveraging Alteryx and Power BI to enhance reporting and insights.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; 3+ years in public accounting preferred.
• CPA a plus; IFRS and Insurance Statutory accounting experience a plus.
• Investment accounting and financial reporting knowledge required.
• Experience with Alteryx and Power BI preferred.

Responsabilités

• Liaise with MRAS Investment Accounting and BlackRock to coordinate IFRS/STAT accounting, reporting and reconciliations.
• Review reconciliations, impairment analyses, investment schedules and disclosures.
• Coordinate quarterly investment forecasts and annual investment planning; prepare dashboards and reports.
• Prepare statutory investment schedules and regulatory reporting with proper documentation.
• Support quarterly tax provisions and inputs for annual tax returns.
