Job summary

Wollborg Michelson Recruiting seeks an experienced Manager of Investment Accounting Reporting to lead the close process, statutory and GAAP reporting, and NAIC schedules in a regulated environment. You will supervise the preparation of regulatory filings, manage internal controls, and support audits while driving process improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of investment accounting, and the ability to communicate results and risks to senior finance leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field required.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and development of team members.
• Preferred: 10+ years in investment accounting or finance in regulated environments.
• Preferred: statutory, GAAP, NAIC, or investment accounting reporting experience.
• Master's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, ARCS, Task Manager, Clearwater, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly investment accounting close with journals, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Oversee statutory, GAAP, NAIC schedules, footnotes, and regulatory filings.
• Ensure accurate, properly documented investment accounting data.
• Lead remediation efforts for audit findings and regulatory changes.
• Maintain internal controls over investment accounting and close processes.
• Coordinate with audits and regulatory bodies, providing timely responses.
