Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Investigator to examine and assess providers’ compliance related to healthcare legislation. This role involves research, analysis, reviewing provider documents, citing regulations, and preparing detailed reports on enforcement investigations to determine compliance. It is ideal for someone interested in legal and regulatory research with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and oversee investigations into potential violations to assess provider compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and review comprehensive investigative reports, complaint summaries, and findings documents for internal use and clients.
  • Analyze provider operations and documentation to identify trends, compliance gaps, and inefficiencies.
  • Develop, review, and maintain project artifacts such as User Guides, SOPs, workflows, and templates based on project and client needs.
  • Mentor junior investigators, guiding best practices in investigation techniques, documentation, and communication.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead virtual meetings with providers and stakeholders to present findings and support compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies to ensure consistent application of compliance standards.
  • Maintain organized records of investigations, findings, and follow-ups for transparency and audits.
Qualifications
  • US citizen or authorized to work in the US with at least 3 years of residence in the last 5 years; ability to obtain a U.S. Federal client badge and pass a Public Trust clearance.
  • Willingness to travel to Washington, D.C. for training as needed.
  • Minimum of 4 years post-education work experience in a corporate setting; a Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, health, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Understanding of health insurance cost-sharing requirements for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, or ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and writing skills.
  • Self-directed, deadline-driven, flexible, and proactive team player.
