Senior Investigative Reporter

Location: Remote, New York, and must be willing to travel at short notice

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience

Position: Permanent

Suitable candidates will currently be working as reporters on a regional, local or national newspaper, magazine or website, or in a television newsroom. A deft writing style is imperative, and you must be based in New York butbe willing to travel at a moment’s notice to cover breaking stories.

Requirements

  • At least five years of news reporting experience
  • A proven history of breaking news stories
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • The ability to conduct thorough research, gather evidence and construct well-reasoned narratives that inform and engage our readers
  • A keen analytical mind coupled with a relentless curiosity
  • Understanding of legal issues related to journalism and investigation
