The New York City Department of Investigation ("DOI") is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country, with a mission to combat municipal corruption. It serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent, nonpartisan watchdog for the city government, city agencies, city employees, vendors with city contracts, and entities receiving city funds.
DOI's Squad 1 conducts investigations into corruption, fraud, waste, and other criminal conduct involving the Department of Correction, Department of Probation, and Board of Correction. We are seeking a Senior Investigative Attorney/Assistant Inspector General responsible for planning, managing, and supervising sex crimes investigations, including report drafting and policy recommendations. The role may also involve assisting in complex investigations into fraud, waste, or other criminal activities. The ideal candidate will have experience investigating sexual misconduct and strong legal or policy writing skills.
Selected candidates will undergo fingerprinting, a background check, and a review of their consumer credit history, as permitted by NYC law.
