Job summary

The State of California, Sacramento Field Office, is seeking a Supervising Investigator II in the Division of Investigation, IEU Deputy Chief’s unit. The role oversees multiple units, performs full peace officer duties, and requires firearm qualification and a valid CA driver license.

Qualifications

• POST Certificate required for appointment.
• 4-year degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, administration of justice, police science, criminology, or equivalent field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Backgrounds, Internal Affairs (including the Computer Forensics Team), Enforcement Support, and Specialized Investigation and Training Units.
• Perform the full range of peace officer duties as specified in Penal Code section 830.3.
• Qualify and carry a firearm; possess a valid California Driver's License; operate a motor vehicle.
