Job summary

ATF in Washington, DC seeks a Supervisory Criminal Investigator (Branch Chief) to provide investigative leadership and oversight for criminal investigations and program performance. You will guide branch goals, direct policy implementation, and coordinate across ATF directorates and with DOJ and local partners to ensure mission success.

The role requires senior-level expertise in investigative procedures, program analysis, and interagency collaboration, with responsibility for strategic planning

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or national.
• One year of specialized experience at GS-13 or equivalent.
• Ability to lead and advise on investigative procedures.
• Ability to plan and evaluate branch programs and projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements branch policies, practices, and procedures.
• Advises senior leadership on branch programs and projects.
• Assesses goals, needs, operations, and accomplishments.
• Plans short- and long-range branch objectives.
• Coordinates with management across ATF and DOJ/law enforcement.
