Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Senior Stockroom Clerk to organize and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies for plant maintenance, janitorial, and safety programs. You will manage stockroom inventory, support purchasing activity, and issue parts to internal customers.

You will help keep records accurate, run cycle counts, and identify inventory irregularities early. The role is on-site in Conyers, GA, with emphasis on quality, safety, and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Up to 18 months of post-high school education from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college, or equivalent related training.
• 0–2 years of relevant inventory, stockroom, shipping/receiving, or purchasing support experience.
• Basic knowledge of inventory concepts and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of purchasing processes, shipping, and receiving.
• Experience using computer-based inventory control systems or similar recordkeeping tools.
• Ability to identify problems or irregularities early and support timely resolution.
• Ability to interact effectively with employees and internal customers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Organize, monitor, and maintain stockroom inventory to support maintenance, janitorial, and safety needs.
• Obtain and compare vendor quotes, follow up on purchase orders, and track order status.
• Receive incoming parts and supplies and maintain accurate computer-based logs and records.
• Complete ongoing cycle counts to help ensure inventory accuracy and completeness.
• Issue spare parts to internal customers and maintain usage logs.
• Identify inventory issues or irregularities early and help resolve them promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
