Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support accuracy, audits, and operational excellence across Auburn facilities. You will drive cycle counts, investigations, and SAP-driven processes to ensure product availability for internal and external customers in a regulated medical device environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or production environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting quality assurance, process control, continuous improvement, or inventory management functions.
• Advanced SAP experience with ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and manage complex inventory transactions.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio.
• Experience working with purchasing, accounting, customer service, and auditing processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of FDA, QSR, ISO, or other regulated quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead cycle count programs, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities across warehouse and third-party logistics locations.
• Investigate and resolve complex inventory discrepancies, SAP issues, serial number corrections, and product traceability concerns.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze inventory and operational reports that support business decisions and inventory accuracy.
• Partner with Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, and other stakeholders to resolve inventory-related issues and support customer needs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, service levels, operational efficiency, and loss prevention.
• Serve as a key resource for SAP testing, system enhancements, audit preparation, and inventory governance activities.
