This role is intended for a senior-level individual contributor who can operate as a subject matter expert in a fast-paced aerospace environment, with a strong focus on compliance, accountability, and audit readiness. This position serves as a key resource within Property and Planning, responsible for executing complex inventory and material functions while providing leadership, mentoring, and process improvement support across the team. This role is expected to independently manage Government Property requirements and help drive consistency and accuracy across programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing input into team strategy, workload planning, and resource allocation
  • Acting as back-up to the Property Manager as needed, including coverage during absences

This role requires minimal supervision and a high level of accountability. The ideal candidate consistently demonstrates strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to operate independently while supporting broader team success.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in materials management, inventory administration, or property management within aerospace, defense, or a similarly regulated environment
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Government Property regulations (FAR/DFARS), including accountability and audit readiness for GFP/CFP (required)
  • Proven ability to operate independently as a subject matter expert in Government Property with minimal oversight
  • Experience supporting audits, customer inquiries, and compliance-related activities
  • Strong understanding of inventory control processes, material traceability, and property accountability
  • Demonstrated experience with program closeout procedures, including the disposition of excess/residual property in accordance with FAR/DFARS property lifecycle requirements.
  • Experience mentoring or training team members and contributing to team development
  • Solid experience with ERP/MRP systems and reporting tools (IFS or similar preferred, PIEE ideal)
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across programs and teams
