Job summary

Orlando Health Wiregrass Ranch Hospital in Wesley Chapel, FL is seeking an Invasive Specialist (Tech) III for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will perform diagnostic imaging and interventions to support cardiovascular procedures, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

The role requires three years in a Cardiac Catheterization lab, RCIS/RCES or CI certification, and active BLS/ACLS. You will assist physicians, monitor patients, and uphold aseptic standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in Cardiac Catheterization lab is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification. PALS may be required depending on unit specific needs.
• Must have RCIS or CI certification; and CVT RCIS or RCES certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers patient care while recognizing conditions and ensures procedure success.
• Educates patient about the procedure, safety, and comfort.
• Documents patient history and ensures records accuracy.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Assesses image quality and verifies patient identification.
• Applies radiation protection practices to minimize exposure.
• Provides physiological and hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.
• Supports the Physician as a scrub assistant for cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintains aseptic technique and wound care standards.
• Manages equipment and supplies and ensures proper inventory.
• Maintains workflow to meet department standards and patient needs.
• Participates in quality initiatives and performance improvement.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.
