Devengine in Canada/US seeks a Senior Interoperability Engineer for a remote advisory engagement. The role is part‑time, about 5–10 hours per week, and focuses on HL7 v2 and FHIR R4 interface strategy for Epic environments.
You will advise on interface engines (Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Corepoint) and map the path from architecture to production go‑live, including credentialing and testing considerations. This advisory phase may expand into hands‑on end‑to‑end integration ownership as the product

Part‑time
Our client is a healthcare technology company building a new enterprise platform focused on upstream workflow and revenue cycle challenges for health systems. The product is in stealth, with a working prototype and active conversations underway with prospective customers. At this stage, how quickly and reliably they can connect to live Epic environments matters as much to those conversations as the prototype itself.
We're looking for a Senior Integration Engineer / Interoperability Engineer to serve as a trusted advisor on how the client's platform will integrate with live Epic environments. This is an advisory engagement; there's a working prototype but no production integrations yet, so the value you bring is judgment, not throughput. You'll help the team think through HL7 v2 and FHIR R4 interface strategy, weigh interface‑engine options, anticipate what health‑system IT will demand, and pressure‑test the integration timelines the business is building its speed‑to‑launch story around. As the platform matures, the expectation is that this role grows into hands‑on, end‑to‑end integration ownership, but that's not what's on the table today.
This is a short‑term initial advisory engagement, with potential for future fractional engagements as the product matures. The role is part‑time – roughly 5‑10 hours a week for now – fully remote, and asynchronous. Candidates can be based anywhere in Canada or the United States.
