Job summary

Addison Group in Tysons, VA is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage international close processes and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting. You will own month-end, prepare journal entries, support consolidations, and collaborate with cross-border finance teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, and preference for CPA or progress toward CPA. This on-site permanent position offers competitive pay and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• At least four years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
• Experience supporting accounting and financial reporting for international entities.
• Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned international entities.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances, unusual transactions, and discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reporting packages for international subsidiaries and branches.
• Coordinate close activities and deadlines with international finance teams.
• Prepare currency translation calculations and consolidation entries.
• Support consolidation of international results into corporate statements.
• Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, settlements, and eliminations.
• Assist with audit requests and preparation of schedules and analyses.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control activities.
• Identify issues and drive process improvements.
