Job summary

Kin is seeking a Senior Manager of Internal Controls to lead SOX and MAR readiness programs, partnering with auditors, consultants, and control owners. You’ll drive governance, technical direction, and quality, while building a scalable control environment for a fast-growing, remote-first company.

You will oversee the implementation of a new GRC platform, integrate ITGC assessments, and deliver timely, executive-level reporting to the Audit Committee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CIA certification.
• 5+ years in internal audit, internal controls, or public accounting with a SOX focus.
• Hands-on COSO, GAAP, and SAP experience.
• Experience overseeing external delivery teams and presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead SOX and MAR programs, plan, testing, remediation, and 302/404 readiness.
• Direct external partners through testing and delivery milestones.
• Own GRC platform implementation; define requirements and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT/security on ITGCs and control documentation.
• Translate testing status into clear reports for leadership and Audit Committee.
• Serve as primary contact for auditors, consultants, and regulators.
• Coach control owners and develop remediation plans.
• Advise business on new products to catch risks early.
• Identify analytics/automation opportunities to improve monitoring.
