Helion in Everett, WA is seeking a Senior Manager of Internal Communications to lead and grow our internal communications function as the company scales. You will shape how we keep our fast-growing team aligned, informed, and connected to our mission, and set strategies for major moments and routine updates, serving as a trusted voice for senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in internal or corporate communications.
• Experience managing people and coaching communicators.
• Strong judgment on what to say and how to simplify technical topics.
• Proven track record with executives during high-stakes moments.
• Excellent writing and editing across formats, from emails to executive talking points.
• Collaborative style with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the overall internal communications strategy for Helion.
• Advise company leaders during major moments like org announcements and leadership transitions.
• Partner with the Director of Communications to align internal and external narratives.
• Represent internal comms with executive leadership and People Ops on priorities.
• Own the budget, tools, and vendor relationships for the function as it grows.
• Write or edit key messages for high-stakes moments and guide the team.
• Coach and grow the internal comms team and raise performance standards.
