Helion is seeking an experienced Internal Communications Partner to keep growing teams aligned and engaged from Everett, WA. You will own storytelling, partner with teams across Helion to connect company priorities to team outcomes, and guide leaders on framing change with clarity.

This onsite role reports to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications. You will manage channels such as newsletters, presentations, digital signage, and intranet, ensuring timely, accurate information and employee

• 8+ years of experience in internal communications or employee engagement.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent writing and editing across formats.
• Experience leading communications during organizational change.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted advisor shaping message strategy, audience approach, channel selection, and timing.
• Own internal comm channels: newsletters, team presentations, digital signage, leader announcements.
• Lead change communication strategies for critical initiatives with feedback and context.
• Oversee intranet and knowledge base ensuring single source of truth.
• Collaborate with IS&T, People Ops, and business leaders to optimize audience segmentation and channels.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Internal Communications Partner at Helion, you will own key storytelling and communication mechanisms that keep our growing teams aligned and engaged. You will partner with teams across Helion to deliver communications that connect company priorities to team outcomes, guide leaders on how to frame change effectively, and ensure employees have the context they need to do their best work. This role requires sound judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to balance strategic guidance with excellent hands‑on execution. Every day will look different, but your north star will be clarity and connection for our team of builders. This is an onsite role that reports directly to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications at our Everett, WA office.

• Serve as a trusted communication advisor to senior leaders and cross‑functional partners, helping shape message strategy, audience approach, channel selection, and timing for key updates.
• Own and continuously improve recurring internal communication channels, including weekly newsletter, team presentations, digital signage, leader announcements, and other touchpoints that help employees stay informed and connected.
• Lead change communication strategies for critical business initiatives, using employee feedback, channel performance, and organizational context to make recommendations that help employees navigate change with clarity and confidence.
• Own and manage Helion’s intranet and knowledge base, collaborating with documentation owners and SMEs to maintain a reliable single source of truth for company information.
• Partner with IS&T, People Ops, and business leaders to evolve audience segmentation, communication governance, and channel distribution strategies so the right information reaches the right employees at the right time.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in internal communications or employee engagement—ideally supporting high‑growth organizations with distributed, deskless, or shift‑based employee populations.
• Track record of strong partnerships across all levels of an organization—from senior leaders to individual subject matter experts—to deliver communications plans that drive team alignment and engagement.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages across multiple formats, audiences, and channels, including email, Slack, Confluence, presentations, and digital signage.
• Demonstrated success leading communication efforts during change, bringing structure and clarity to evolving processes, operational updates, and organizational shifts.
• Highly organized and detail oriented, with a track record of driving projects forward, managing multiple stakeholders, and owning deliverables from concept through final execution.
