Ascot Group, a leading specialty risk underwriting organization, seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to support the Senior VP of Internal Audit & Advisory. This hybrid role involves performing annual audit testing and driving department activities from a U.S. base.

The ideal candidate will combine technical audit knowledge with strong collaboration and risk awareness. You will work across functional lines to optimize controls, advise management, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2–5 years audit experience in an organization of appropriate scale and complexity
• Comprehensive understanding of internal auditing standards and techniques, GAAP, SOX and MAR Compliance, COSO Framework
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Proven team management skills and ability to drive group consensus
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Knowledge of Optro (AuditBoard) or other Audit-related tools
• Highly customer‑centric and collaborative in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsabilidades

• Assess departmental needs, establish priorities, and assist in the annual audit plan and activities
• Direct creation/improvement of internal audit policies and programs
• Develop relationships with leaders while maintaining objectivity
• Oversee testing of internal controls over financial reporting for NAIC compliance
• Plan and execute audits, including scoping, fieldwork, and reporting
• Manage multiple audit engagements concurrently with a value-add focus
• Execute audits under continuous monitoring program
• Engage actively in the audit process to understand company risks
• Assist with audit committee packages and remediation tracking
• Advance data analytics in audit procedures and lead special projects
