Job summary

The University of South Alabama’s Internal Audit department is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the team. You will execute internal audit engagements across the University and USA Health entities, lead audits, document controls, perform testing, and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications include pursuit or attainment of CIA, CPA, or CISA. You will mentor staff, assist in risk assessments, and contribute to the QAIP process while upholding IPPF standards and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or a related field with at least three years of progressively responsible experience in auditing, accounting, compliance or a related field; equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit engagements across the University of South Alabama campus and USA Health entities.
• Lead and conduct performance, operational, financial, compliance, and IT audit engagements across campus and USA Health entities.
• Document processes and internal controls; research standards and criteria; perform testing; prepare audit reports.
• Assist in risk assessments, annual risk-based internal audit planning, and staff development.
