Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced VP, Internal Audit Manager to lead audits from planning to reporting.

You will manage audit teams, determine scope, develop approaches, perform testing, review workpapers and ensure conclusions are well supported. You will collaborate with business owners, communicate findings to senior leadership, and help strengthen risk management across the bank.

Qualifications

• Eight years of audit experience, including five in internal audit.
• Five years of experience in financial services.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• CPA or CIA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead audits from planning through reporting.
• Lead and perform audit testing.
• Prepare and review audit workpapers, issues, and reports.
• Manage and resolve outstanding review items and file documentation.
• Communicate progress and significant issues to Internal Audit leadership.
• Lead meetings and present findings to stakeholders.
• Maintain contact with business owners to understand process changes and risks.
• Contribute to risk assessments and audit plan development.
