Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting/Management Systems or related field.
• At least three years of experience in planning, water and/or wastewater operations or engineering; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• A valid Class D Motor Vehicle license or driver's license from an adjacent state.
• This position may be eligible for teleworking 50% of the work week; a waiting period may apply.

Responsibilities

• Reviews management control systems and related policies to identify weaknesses and evaluate internal controls.
• Develops audit programs, procedures and techniques to meet assignment needs.
• Presents audit results and recommends actions to management and department personnel; prepares formal written reports.
• Conducts financial audits of MWRA contracts and agreements to ensure allowability and reasonableness of costs.
• Selects and tests databases to establish reliability of data for audits.
• Performs related duties as required.
