Job summary

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) seeks a supervisor to lead Tele-Inspection Operators and OMC Laborers in internal pipeline inspections. Based in Chelsea, MA, you will oversee all inspection activities, equipment use, and reporting, while supporting staff training and safety compliance.

You will coordinate assignments, ensure quality field workmanship, and manage related duties, playing a key role in protecting public health and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of direct experience in internal pipeline inspections.
• At least one year in a supervisory role; MWRA training may substitute supervisory experience.
• Understanding of basic mechanical/electronic concepts related to inspection equipment.
• Able to obtain NASSCO PACP/MACP/LACP certifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all aspects of internal pipeline inspections.
• Operates inspection equipment and software.
• Prepares inspection DVDs and field reports.
• Maintains inspection equipment, vehicles, radios, and safety gear.
• Trains new employees in internal pipeline inspections and safety procedures.
• Organizes and delegates work for crews.
• Performs related duties as required.
