First Horizon Bank is seeking an Audit Director to assist the CAE in overseeing the Internal Audit Department. You will lead audit managers and teams, develop the Annual Audit Plan, and supervise staff while ensuring high-quality audit outputs.

You will communicate with the Audit Committee on control effectiveness, manage resources and budgets, and maintain strong relationships with executive management and regulators to mitigate risks across the bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor (4-year college) degree required and advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years progressively responsible experience in public accounting and/or internal auditing including 7 years direct management experience.
• 4+ years recent experience as a senior level auditor or regulator at a bank with assets greater than $100 Billion.

Responsabilités

• Provide people management leadership by hiring quality talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing performance, promoting teamwork.
• Establish and manage resource levels and financial budget.
• Sustain professional and technical knowledge through continuing professional education (CPE).
• Ensure high quality audit reports and communications.
• Oversee staff supervision and development.
• Maintain effective relationships with executive management and senior-level managers and influence change.
• Direct identification and evaluation of risk areas and contribute to annual Audit Plan.
• Oversee audit procedures and document client processes and procedures.
• Engage with stakeholders on bank topics and provide insights on risks.
• Participate in Company Committees and Working Groups as a non-voting member or attendee.
