Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems in Rosemont, IL is seeking an experienced Manager Internal Audit to lead our risk assurance function in a private equity owned, growth-focused environment. You will design audits, assess controls, and help safeguard assets while supporting transparent governance.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer with dotted line to CFO, you will partner with finance and operations, monitor remediation, and present findings to the Audit Committee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive internal audit, risk or assurance experience.
• Experience in private equity-owned, growth-oriented environments preferred.
• Prior experience in waste management, recycling, or environmental services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute the annual internal audit plan aligned with risk priorities.
• Conduct cross-functional audits to identify control weaknesses and risks.
• Collaborate with CFO and finance to evaluate accounting processes and reporting.
• Report to Audit Committee on results and control health.
• Support external auditors with testing and maintain independence.
• Recommend process improvements and cost efficiencies.
