Job summary

Solaris Management Consultants Inc. seeks a Senior or Intermediate LNG Process Engineer in Houston, TX, to lead safe, efficient LNG facility design and operations. You will work with multidiscipline teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and advance projects from concept through detailed engineering.

You will leverage experience in LNG processes, FEED, and detailed design, collaborate with clients, and support risk management and optimization while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
• P.Eng. in Canada or PE in the U.S. is an asset but not required.
• 7–10 years of LNG engineering, design, and operations experience.
• Strong LNG regulatory knowledge and familiarity with OEM licensor technologies.
• Proven track record in front-end design to detailed engineering and construction support.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.
• Proficiency with process simulation, data analysis, optimization, and project management software.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Willingness to relocate or travel internationally or to the United States.
• Open to future relocation for project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design LNG facilities.
• Interface with clients and communicate technical information clearly.
• Ensure compliance with LNG regulatory standards and safety requirements.
• Improve operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability of LNG processes.
• Contribute to risk management studies (PHA, HAZOP, QRA, LOPA).
• Develop process designs, including gas pretreatment, liquefaction, utilities, and terminals.
• Create PFDs and P&IDs, equipment lists, and control narratives.
• Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim, and other tools.
• Prepare conceptual designs, reports, and proposals for LNG systems.
• Review vendor calculations and ensure design compliance.
