Job summary

General Motors (GM) seeks an Interior Vehicle Systems Engineer (VSE) to serve as the SMT program leader for interior design and execution. You will coordinate across subsystems, align with vehicle targets, and drive risk-managed decisions to ensure on-time, budget-conscious delivery with exceptional quality.

Responsibilities include leading interior engineering, program planning, and cross-functional communication, while championing simplification and standardization to achieve launch excellence

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 5+ years of engineering experience.
Experience in interior engineering.
Ability to travel during vehicle launches.

Responsibilities

Own Interior system integration and program leadership to meet targets, timing, and cost.
Lead structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, and trade-off decisions for interior content and design.
Deliver concise executive-ready updates to leaders and cross-functional partners.
Develop and manage Interior 30/60/90-day and long-range plans and mitigate risks early.
Lead vehicle-level integration and coordinate validation activities for launch readiness.
