Job summary

Abrams Valenti Interiors, based in Chicago, seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead residential projects from concept through completion in our Chicago studio. This full-time, on-site role involves developing design concepts, space planning, finishes and FF&E selection, and producing detailed drawings and presentations.

You will collaborate with clients, coordinate with contractors, and ensure design intent is realized during construction and installation.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in interior design from concept to residential execution.
• Strong space planning to create functional, refined layouts.
• Solid interior architecture understanding to integrate with the built environment.
• Proficiency in construction drawings and documentation for contractor coordination.
• Hands-on FF&E sourcing, specification, and budgeting.
• Advanced design software skills (AutoCAD, SketchUp) and Office tools.
• Strong communication and collaborative working style.
• Proven project management skills including scheduling and vendor coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; several years senior experience.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
