Job summary

Abrams Valenti Interiors, based in Chicago, seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead residential projects from concept through completion in our Chicago studio. This full-time, on-site role involves developing design concepts, space planning, finishes and FF&E selection, and producing detailed drawings and presentations.

You will collaborate with clients, coordinate with contractors, and ensure design intent is realized during construction and installation.

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will manage residential interior design projects from concept through completion in the Chicago, IL studio. This full-time, on-site role includes developing design concepts, creating space plans, selecting finishes and FF&E, and preparing detailed drawings and presentations. Alongside the principals, the designer will collaborate with clients to understand needs and preferences, present design options, and refine solutions based on feedback. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with contractors, and vendors, overseeing project documentation, and ensuring design intent is executed during construction and installation.

• Demonstrated expertise in Interior Design, including concept development, material selection, and residential project execution.
• Strong Space Planning skills with the ability to create functional, refined layouts that support client lifestyles.
• Solid interior architecture understanding to integrate design seamlessly with the built environment.
• Proficiency in Construction Drawings and documentation, including plans, elevations, and details for contractor coordination.
• Hands-on experience with FF&E (furnishings, fixtures, and equipment), including sourcing, specification, and budgeting.
