Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior designers to develop and execute design concepts for high-end residential projects.
  • Assist in space planning, furniture selection, and color compositions to create luxurious living spaces.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to produce detailed plans, elevations, and specifications.
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive client information.
  • Research high-end showrooms and product lines to source premium materials and furnishings.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and suppliers to meet project needs.
  • Contribute to development of custom furniture designs meeting client specs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving in changing priorities.

High-end Residential Architecture /Interiors Firm is seeking a talented Junior Designer who will collaborate with our senior design team and focus on project assistance. We are looking for an individual with a passion for luxury residential design, strong time management skills, highly organized, 2 to 4 years work experience. The ideal candidate will have project management experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior designers to develop and execute design concepts for high-end residential projects.
  • Assist in space planning, furniture selection, and color compositions to create luxurious and functional living spaces.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to produce detailed plans, elevations, and specifications.
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive client information.
  • Research and stay updated on high-end showrooms and product lines to source premium materials and furnishings.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring their vision is brought to life.
  • Assist in the selection and customization of furniture and fixtures, including coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Contribute to the development of custom furniture designs, ensuring they meet the client's specifications and design standards.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.
  • Adapt to ever-changing demands and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years experience in interior design, property management, preferably with a focus on high-end residential projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Strong knowledge of high-end showrooms and product lines.
  • Experience in space planning, furniture selection, and color compositions.
  • Familiarity with custom furniture design and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Portfolio showcasing relevant design projects.

Salary: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Location: Chicago

Job Type: Part-time, On Site

Schedule: 8-hour shift, 3 Days Per Week
