Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks an Interconnection Customer Project Development, Engineer 3 in Pomona, CA. You will develop substation scopes, coordinate cost and schedule estimates, and sponsor projects through execution for interconnections above 50 kV.

You will align stakeholders across engineering, planning, project management, environmental, and other teams to deliver defensible estimates, reliable connection requirements, and timely schedules that support customer needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Five or more years of engineering experience in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical issues are resolved timely, efficiently and cost-effectively.
• Supervise and coordinate work with full-time and contract staff on new technical strategies, equipment or standards.
• Conduct life cycle assessments for utility infrastructure materials and processes; improve preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation to ensure safety and reliability of projects.
• Support audits and inspections; ensure compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Provide engineering guidance for analysis and resolution of high-impact, cross-functional problems.
• Maintain design basis documentation and coordinate high-impact complex projects.
• Provide technical training to junior engineers.
• Protect company data and assets with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
