Job summary

Southern California Edison is seeking an Interconnection Customer Project Development Engineer 3 to support generation and large customer/interconnections above 50 kV by developing substation scopes, coordinating cost and schedule estimates, and sponsoring projects through execution.

You will be the central engineering contact during facility studies, aligning stakeholders across engineering, planning, PM, environment, and other groups to deliver reliable connection requirements and defensible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or scientific/technical/math field.
• Five or more years of engineering experience.
• Valid Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Ensures technical issues are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Supervises and coordinates work with staff and contractors on new technical strategies.
• Conducts life cycle assessments for utility infrastructure materials and processes.
• Performs risk assessments and implements mitigation strategies for safety and reliability.
• Supports audits and ensures compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Provides engineering guidance for high-impact, cross-functional projects.
• Maintains design basis documentation and coordinates complex project planning.
