Job summary

Constellation Payment Processing seeks a Strategic Interchange Analyst to own and optimize interchange, network routing and payment-cost strategies across our payments portfolio. You will combine deep interchange knowledge with advanced data analytics, automation and clear business storytelling for technical, financial and commercial stakeholders.

You will work from transaction-level data to identify cost leakage, routing opportunities and emerging portfolio trends, monitor network changes,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in payments, merchant acquiring, payment facilitation or related field.
• Deep knowledge of Visa and Mastercard interchange structures and rules.
• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem including card brands, networks, issuers and processors.
• Advanced SQL proficiency with large datasets.
• Hands-on proficiency with Python, Java or other analysis/langs for automation.
• Experience with AI tools to automate workflows and data-driven insights.
• Experience in merchant acquiring or processor environments.
• Knowledge of PIN debit, least-cost routing, FANF, VAMP and related costs.
• Experience building interchange reference tables, qualification engines and reconciliation frameworks.
• Familiarity with payment-message data and gateway mappings.
• Degree in a quantitative/technical field.

Responsibilities

• Own interchange qualification and network-cost performance across the portfolio.
• Monitor network changes, assess financial impact, maintain rules and cost tables.
• Analyze routing logic and transaction behaviour to improve economics.
• Build automated monitoring, reporting and workflows using AI, Python, Java.
• Translate complex payments analysis into executive insights and actionable recommendations.
