• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production Power BI dashboards, semantic models, interactive reports, scorecards, and executive-level views
• Develop, test, and tune DAX measures, calculated columns, time intelligence, KPI logic, and business rules for production reporting
• Publish and manage reports in Power BI workspaces, configuring access, refresh schedules, and distribution
• Deploy, support, and troubleshoot reports in both cloud and on-premises environments, including Power BI Report Server
• Connect, clean, transform, and validate data from SharePoint, departmental repositories, and other sources using Power Query
• Design reusable data models and repeatable processes for aggregation, reconciliation, metrics, and decision support
• Validate data and calculations, and analyze results to surface trends, risks, and actionable insights

Job Summary

Core Group Resources is hiring a Senior Intelligence & Power Platform Developer 3 (CL) for a major U.S. Navy shipbuilding client on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. This senior individual contributor role owns the full lifecycle of business intelligence, analytics, data collection, and workflow automation solutions across the Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environment.

You will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into secure, scalable, and well-governed solutions, often defining processes and data standards where none exist. The ideal candidate is a self-directed technical expert in Power BI with strong Power Apps and Power Automate skills, sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and the presence to communicate clearly with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production Power BI dashboards, semantic models, interactive reports, scorecards, and executive-level views
• Develop, test, and tune DAX measures, calculated columns, time intelligence, KPI logic, and business rules for production reporting
• Publish and manage reports in Power BI workspaces, configuring access, refresh schedules, and distribution
• Deploy, support, and troubleshoot reports in both cloud and on-premises environments, including Power BI Report Server
• Connect, clean, transform, and validate structured and unstructured data from SharePoint, departmental repositories, and other approved sources using Power Query
• Design reusable data models and repeatable processes for aggregation, reconciliation, metrics, and decision support
• Validate data and calculations, and analyze results to surface trends, risks, exceptions, and actionable insights
• Lead process and data definition efforts where none exist, working with stakeholders to establish data ownership, collection points, standards, and source-to-target mapping
• Build and support automated workflows using Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, Lists, Forms, Planner, Excel, and approved connectors, with built-in validation, approvals, notifications, and error handling
• Create secure, user-friendly Power Apps and custom SharePoint forms that let authorized users enter and update governed data, with role-based permissions, validation, and audit controls
• Drive major initiatives independently through design, testing, deployment, user adoption, support, and continuous improvement
• Identify cross-departmental dependencies and data relationships, and present designs, findings, risks, and recommendations to technical, business, and executive audiences
• Apply platform security, permissions, licensing, and governance standards, troubleshoot refresh, calculation, workflow, and performance issues, and maintain solution documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field with 9+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or information systems development, OR a Master’s degree with 7+ years of related experience
• Proven hands-on experience delivering and supporting production analytics and Microsoft 365/Power Platform solutions
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and data integration
• Practical experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 integrations
• Professional certification in Power BI, Power Platform, data analytics, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical thinking, independent problem-solving, and the ability to work through ambiguity
• Excellent communication skills, including presenting to senior and C-suite leadership

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with on-premises Power BI Report Server deployments
• Experience establishing data governance standards and business processes from the ground up
• Experience in a large manufacturing, shipbuilding, or defense environment
