Job summary

RealmOne is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support a government client in Northern Virginia, with enterprise LAN/WAN design, security compliance, and full lifecycle O&M. The role requires active security clearance with polygraph and travel both CONUS and OCONUS up to 10%.

You will evaluate technologies, design networks, and deploy COTS/GOTS solutions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet mission requirements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Nine years of experience in network operations or telecommunications design.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (experience can substitute).
• Active security clearance with polygraph.
• Willingness to become certified (CCIE/MCSE helpful).
• OCONUS/CONUS TDY up to 10% travel, including hazard areas.
• CCIE and MCSE certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and support enterprise LAN/WAN networks across multiple technologies.
• Evaluate new network technologies and advise PMs on integration.
• Plan configurations for enterprise integration and performance.
• Provide engineering and design support for communications systems.
• Apply COTS and GOTS solutions for voice/data infrastructure.
• Integrate system design with network architecture to meet requirements.
• Perform post-design support including O&M for LAN/WAN systems.
• Create simulated networks to test applications over low-bandwidth links.
• Install and configure wide-area links using RF communications (satellite, cellular, microwave).
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure connected to the enterprise architecture.
