Job Title : Senior Intellectual Property Assistant / Paralegal

Work Model : Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days onsite)

Location : Downtown San Diego, CA | Del Mar, CA | Orange County, CA

Years of Experience : 3+ years (U.S. & international patent prosecution)

Salary : $80,000-$110,000 / year (based on experience and certification)

Job Overview :

We're looking to bring on a skilled IP professional to support a fast-paced patent prosecution team. This is a hybrid role ideal for someone who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments. Candidates should have hands-on experience with both U.S. and foreign (international) patent filings and be confident managing deadlines, filings, and IP processes from end to end.

Breakdown of the Job : Patent Prosecution - 100% (Trademarks and litigation not required)

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and file U.S. patent applications, IDSs, office actions, and related documents.
• Handle international (PCT / WIPO) filings and coordinate with foreign associates.
• Review and report USPTO / WIPO communications.
• Maintain docket entries and electronic records.
• Support billing, track deadlines, and quality check filings.
• Provide coverage during team absences to ensure workflow continuity.

Qualifications :

• 3+ years of IP experience supporting U.S. and international patent prosecution
• Strong knowledge of USPTO systems (Patent Center, TEAS, TSDR, Assignment Center).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Experience with IP docketing systems is a plus.
• Paralegal certificate is preferred but not required.
