Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II for remote US-based work, focusing on designing and delivering robust integrations that connect accounting, ERP, and AI systems. You will own end-to-end integration pipelines, improve reliability, and ensure secure, scalable data exchange across the organization.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, shape technical decisions, and raise the standard for integration best practices while operating in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in integrations, APIs, and data exchange systems development.
• Deep technical expertise in data-centric systems and architecture.
• Strong coding fluency in Dagster, Airbyte, or Airflow alongside Python and Rails.
• Experience with accounting systems or principles is preferred.
• High ownership mentality with a self-directed and solution-oriented approach.
• Proven ability to design scalable architectures balancing performance and cost.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build integrations for accounting, ERP, and AI systems.
• Own end-to-end integration pipelines and ensure data reliability.
• Define and manage data contracts to maintain integration integrity.
• Contribute to code reviews and resolve critical customer data issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create secure integration experiences.
• Influence technical decisions and advocate for best practices in integrations.
• Establish observability to monitor integrations and facilitate troubleshooting.
