Worth AI in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Integrations Squad and own the systems that connect Worth to the outside world. You will design and deliver the integration layer that handles dozens of upstream APIs and complex data flows, driving reliability and performance.

You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Kubernetes to build scalable, production-grade integrations, APIs, and SDKs while mentoring others and shaping

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ownership of major features or subsystems in production.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem.
• Experience designing or operating a public API or SDK.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Experience with event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Comfort operating containerized apps in Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major integrations and subsystems from partner evaluation to production rollout.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party data providers and abstract them behind clean internal contracts.
• Design, evolve, and operate Worth's public REST APIs and SDKs with versioning and security considerations.
• Translate ambiguous partner specs into clear technical designs with tradeoffs.
• Write high-quality production code across backend and frontend stacks (Node.js, TypeScript).
• Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas focusing on performance and data integrity.
• Build event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis for enrichment and retries.
• Deploy, monitor, and debug containerized services in Kubernetes with runbooks.
• Lead refactors of legacy code into modular adapters and mentor junior engineers.
• Handle production incidents and improve resilience and observability.
