Job summary

Albert is seeking a Lead Integrations Engineer to own enterprise-grade integrations across its microservices platform and partner systems. You will lead technical discovery sessions, design interfaces, mentor engineers, and deliver scalable integrations for complex scientific workflows.

The role emphasizes architecture, hands-on engineering, and direct partner engagement in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering or integrations within enterprise SaaS environments.
• Proven success leading partner-facing technical projects involving APIs, data synchronization, or system orchestration.
• Expertise in Python or Node.js, RESTful and event-driven architectures, and AWS technologies (ECS, DynamoDB, KMS, Lambda, EventBridge).
• Strong command of async processing patterns including queues, retries, idempotency, and failure handling in distributed systems.
• Experience designing and shipping SDKs or developer-facing APIs with a focus on usability and long-term maintainability.
• Deep understanding of multi-tenant security including data isolation, encryption at rest and in transit, and keyless deployment.
• Familiarity with authentication and access control standards: OAuth2, SAML, JWT, SSO.
• Experience with middleware or API gateways such as Mulesoft, Apache Camel, or AWS EventBridge.
• Excellent communication skills across business, scientific, and engineering audiences.
• Experience in the chemical, materials, or life sciences industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-grade integrations between Albert’s platform and partner systems (ERP, PLM, LIMS, ELN, regulatory, lab tools).
• Lead technical design and delivery of integration projects from requirements discovery to go-live.
• Design and own webhook and event-driven pipelines with scalable retry and processing patterns.
• Build and maintain SDKs and integration frameworks for partner developers.
• Own multi-tenant security at the integration layer (encryption, isolation, keyless deployment).
• Mentor integration engineers and promote secure design, code quality, and observability.
• Collaborate with partner technical teams to translate needs into scalable solutions.
• Work with Product, Security, and Infrastructure to meet enterprise standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
