Job summary

Relativity Space is hiring an Integration Technician to join the Manufacturing team and help assemble, install, and test flight hardware for Terran R. You’ll translate engineering requirements into reliable, repeatable operations on the shop floor and collaborate with production, integration engineers, and the quality team to steadily enhance the build process. This second-shift role runs Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m.

to 2:00 a.m. PT with 10 overtime hours weekly and a 10% shift differential.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of aerospace mechanical experience.
  • Experience in fast-paced production environments handling flight hardware.
  • Proficient with fastener/torque operations, testing, avionics familiarity, and bonding operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and production.
  • Able to operate a wide range of hand and pneumatic tools and calibrated measuring devices.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
  • Able to navigate uneven surfaces, crouch/bend/squat, kneel, and extend arms overhead as needed.

  • Assemble, install, and test flight hardware to high quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team, integration engineers, and quality teams to build and document operations.
  • Develop and document job operations for the thrust structure, secondary structures, fluids systems, avionics, and engine installations.

About the Team:

The Manufacturing team owns all process development, fabrication strategy, and production equipment for Terran R, our next generation, reusable rocket. This team has a wide variety of responsibilities – from factory floor layout, to developing complex tooling for novel processes, and interfacing with our vehicle engineering team to heavily influence design of the rocket. Weleverageour deepexpertiseto translate engineering requirements into highly optimized production lines, working cross functionally to consistently enhance the vehicle program.

This is a second-shift position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. PT. The role is structured around a 50-hour workweek, including 10 guaranteed overtime hours each week. In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift differential.

About the Role:
  • The Integration technician role will play a critical role in ensuring that various components and systems of flight hardware are assembled, tested, and installed with the highest quality.
  • The role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of aerospace processes.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to successfully build and install flight hardware
  • Collaborate with the production team, integration engineers and quality team to build, develop, and document job operations.
  • Primaryareaof focus will be assembly,install, andtesting offlight hardwarethrough development and productionofThrust Structure for Terran R. Including Secondary Structures, Fluids Systems, Avionics Systems, and Engine Installations.
About You:
  • 4+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment handling flight hardware and performing critical operations.
  • Possess a wide range of technical skills including but not limited to fastener/torque applications, secondary retention, testing, avionics familiarity, and bonding operations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and production.
  • Ability to set up and operate a wide range of hand and pneumatic tools along with calibrated tools and measuring devices.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces.
  • Able to safely navigate and walk on uneven terrain or surfaces, as frequently required in the work environment.
  • Able to frequently crouch, bend, or squat to access low-level areas or equipment.
  • Able to kneel to perform work duties, as needed throughout a shift (Personal Protective Equipment provided).
  • Able to reach and extend arms overhead for the duration required to complete assembly tasks.
Nice to haves but not required:
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant license
  • Electromechanical build proficiency
  • Familiar with propulsion systems and components

Hiring Range:

$33.20—$49.80 USD
