Job summary

The Metropolitan Council seeks a Senior Integration Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain APIs and integration solutions across multiple platforms. You will collaborate with technology and business units to guide and implement API integrations that enable data access for systems and users.

The role requires education in Computer Science or Information Systems with extensive experience in APIs and integration projects.

The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater collection and treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.

Our Information Services (IS) department of 140+ members provide IT support to all Council divisions.

The Senior Integration Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains APIs and integration solutions. This includes analysis, release, and deployment of APIs and Integration solutions on multiple platforms. They collaborate with technology and business units and, as needed, with technology partners to provide guidance, make recommendations, and build APIs and integration solutions that make data available to systems and/or users such as software engineers.

Any of the following combinations of completed education (degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field) and professional experience designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining API’s and other Integration solutions.

• Master’s degree and (3) years of experience
• Bachelor's degree and (5) years of experience
• Associate degree and (7) years of experience
• High school diploma/GED and (9) years of experience

Salary Range: $95,804.80 - $155,396.80 Annually
